Dear future self, how are you my friend?
Don't mind the advice my present self sends,
Remember, mon ami, it is for your good,
For you don't want to stand where my past self stood.
Dear future self, you are not to repeat,
Those errors of the past, do not dare to cheat,
Think big and have set goals in mind,
Don't be lazy, go, success you find.
Dear future self, make wise decisions,
Don't be in haste, use your brain and precision,
Take your own time and make the right choice,
Say 'yes' or 'no' with your bold voice.
Dear future self, take a moment to look back,
To rewind your pain and the mental attacks,
Now let that weakness fill you with strength,
Don't get broke, you've to run that length.
Dear future self, life is too short,
For your grudges, hatred and angry retorts,
Your smile is the best accessory you wear,
Love yourself, spread warmth and care.
The past is a complex, forgotten history,
What lies ahead is a very vague mystery,
You don't have the power to mend those faults,
Move on, look ahead, don't let your life halt.
