Happy Birthday Harry

Writer's picture: Ayushi PandeyAyushi Pandey

Dearest Harry ⚡️,

I recount walking to the airport’s bookstore, A curious little child, my hands opened the door, Books of all sizes and colours I saw, The boy with a wand in his hand left me awed.

A pink and blue book with a train on the cover, Nestled in my arms, as I began to discover, The wizarding world and the magical creatures, Voldemort’s cruelty and crooked, nasal features.

It’s 38 years since the curse rebounded, Your legacy and anecdotes leave me dumbfounded, Butterbeer to the feasts, she aptly delineates, I formed such memories, don’t swish and obliviate.

Curling up in my bed as I read your adventures, To uncharted places your friends and you ventured, It’s a day of cake smashing and joy all around, Happy Birthday Harry, from a Potterhead so proud.
